03 accord coupe V6 6-speed VINs look like this:

1HGCM816*3A######
1HGCM817*3A######

where the #'s are the serial number (individual to each car) and the * is a check number, which doesn't matter when determining the model/year/engine from the VIN.

if it doesn't match up, PM the VIN to me and i will tell you exactly what it is.

but i saw other coupes at other dealerships that have "M" in the VIN and it's an auto...

i know the 6speed nav is hard to find....just wanna make sure he's not lying...
this is absolutely not true. the M does not mean manual at all.
on honda vehicles, the 7th digit indicates auto/manual transmission. if the 7th digit is odd, it's manual. if it's even, it's automatic.

you cannot determine the number of gears in the transmission from the 7th digit, only whether is it manual or auto. this is why i gave you the whole VIN block used for the V6 6-speed transmissions.

why is everyone telling him to look at the car or test drive it or whatever?

his question was can someone identify the correct VIN range for a 03 accord V6 6-speed. he didn't ask how it drives, or how many pipes it should have, or anything else.

define hard to find. if you mean hard to find sitting on a lot waiting to be bought, then yes. but you won't wait much longer for it than you would for any other build to order vehicle...probably a couple months.

this is dependent on the last order date for the dealer, there are currently quotas for each dealership when ordering 6-speeds. if they just got one right before you, you'll be waiting longer.
