i use dish washing detergent in warm water. what i do is this:
1: find a small bucket and fill it up with water
2: add dishwashing detergent and mix
3: submerge the whole filter in bucket and move it up & down
4: let it sit for like an hour
5: wash off detergent and use k&n filter recharge kit.
this is how i clean my filter ever since i had all that grease/dirt on it from driving without the fender lining.

Ight i been procrastinating on this installation...
I'm ganna try to do this weekend wit my cuzo....
Anybody know of any step by step with pics on this installation?

I ordered the chiltons book so it should be here by the end of the week or mid next week.
I wanna get a head start on this before the weeked.
For those of you who have installed springs and shocks
1. How many hours will i spend on this installation?
2. do i need an alignment after installation?
3. when i raise the car .. can i use the regular lift in the trunk or would it be safer to get a pair of stands?

i haven't done an installation but have read enough to answer a couple of those.

2. it's recommended, because your toe could be off and it'll ruin your tires quicker than negative camber

3. stands...with stuff like this (a 3000 lb car in this case), err on the side of caution

1) By yourself, its gonna be a 3 hour+ install
2)not necessarilly, as long as u dont disrupt the axles too bad
3)Its always crazy to go under the car when its proped up only by a jack

Once you've got that kit installed, you'll have to let me know how you like it. I thought about going with that exact kit, but figured I'd save money by just getting what I really want... Tein SS Dampers.

Go buy a decent floor jack and 4 jack stands, you can probably get it all for around $50.
