I think maybe the accord would win, not sure though.

A 2003 automatic V6 coupe does 0-60mph in 7.0 compared to 7.5 or so in the 5 speed I4 Accord. With a proper launch in both cars the 5 speed will not have a lead. I have raced a friends Nissan Sentra SER Spec V tons of times and with a perfect launch he stays dead even with me through first gear and then I start to pull and get him by about 3-4 cars in the quarter. The 2003 5 speed 4 cylinder Accords are not as quick as the Spec V's so if anything they will be trailing the auto V6 coupes even out of the hole.

I was told the I4- 5 speeds could take the 6th gen AV6.

It probably can, from zero to something. Not on the highway, though.
Slow...such a subjective statement. Go race something for comparison or go to the track or time yourself 0-60 to quantify it a bit.

Really. Pretty dumb to go on advertised power. Like I was reading a story where a guy got duped into buying an M3 that had been salvaged like twice (he didnt know this) and had tons of problems(didnt know that either), and he hated the way it drove. But he still bought it. At that point, you gotta ask yourself :wtf:

I read that too...makes me nervous looking for those...

i needed the car because i needed the space. plus the prelude had some problems when i got rid of it. also, the car feels like it doesn't have any power under 3000 rpm's and it struggles when i merge onto a highway. i love the car i guess i'll need to wait unbtil they make some more mods for it.

They're still talking about the current Accord I4 beating a previous gen AV6, not the 2003.

:werd:
I4 will not come close to beating a 7th gen AV6.

I love when someone beats a car in a race and then they declare that " the 4 cylinder Accord with the 5 speed is faster than the new V6 Accord". I hate to break it to you but all that means is that either the V6 wasnt racing you at all or he just got a late start because anyone with an automatic Accord has to just slam the gas pedal to the floor and watch you vanish in there rear view mirror. Those cars are not close at all in the quarter so I have to belive that the guy in the V6 wasnt racing. Both drivers being equal the V6 automatic coupes with beat the 4 cylinder 5 speeds by at least 5 car lengths in the quarter. All it says when you won is that the other driver had no clue what was going on. It doesnt mean that your car is faster by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to race an automatic V6 coupe just get an intake and exhaust for your 5 speed 4 cylinder and I would love to race you bone stock.
