type S sway bar is only about 4mm larger in diameter... probably not very noticeable to the naked eye, especially while your stock one is still on the car.

Does that 4mm do anything? Is it worth $45 of a change?

correct me if i'm wrong but the general rule is that for every 1mm increase in diameter you can expect a 20% or so increase in stiffness... so 4mm would equate to an 80% stiffer bar. it's quite a bit more involved of a calculation than that, but 4mm does make a difference.

Sounds logical. Increasing the outer circumference always gives significant increase in volume/surface area of the whole. Acura dealership huh? Anybody have installation instructions/tools required, etc.?

let me correct myself before i get flamed... the stock accord 6 gen bar is 17mm, switching to the CLS bar at 19mm (a 2mm difference) will generate between a 40%-50% increase in stiffness.

But: you can get 19mm polyurethane bushings from energy suspension (they're universal), and poly end links (if available)... and feel every last bit of stiffness increase over stock.

my bolts are all rusted i went under my car yesterday it was around 6:00pm. I am going to try to do it after work today MONDAY my hands are iching to put that sucker on. got to remember to buy batteries for my digital camra and take pix =) its looks like an easy mod. just take off the old swaybar and replace with new and reattach brackets and bushings only hard thing will be is getting the old nuts and blots off cuase they are in cramp spaces (on back of mufflers) and again Rusted Bolts.... sigh.... and you cant really use to much force cuse the sway bar is attached to this other bar... which is not to strong i attemped to loosen the bolt where the ends of the sway bar is suppose to be attached. That bar that holds the sway bar was bending\twisting so at that point i decided to contiune another day hehehe.

those are your end links bending and twisting... i think you need to use an allan key to hold the link still while you torque the end nut off.
