hmmm i wonder if mine was ever done? i had my timing belt replaced before i got the car (used to be my moms) i wonder if they ever replaced it....haha if not then i think its time hehe

I'm in the process of relocating the fuel filter on my 5th gen with an aftermarket fuel filter and earls fittings and steel braided line I will have pics up as soon as i finish the install. I hope this will help us 5th gen guys.

sounds to me like you didn't NEED it replaced then. IMO, it should only be replaced if you 1.)are able to keep up on all ur regularly scheduled maintenance, or 2.)if your car hesitates on acceleration or is running funny. Im doing it on my car cause it's not running too good and because it's got 110k on it and who knows when/if it was ever replaced. It's part of my complete tune-up it needs so badly.

well as far as i know.... it was the OEM filter, and i had 140k miles.....

yeah, that's kinda the boat im in. I bought my car used w/91k on the ticker, im at 110k now and doing a full tune-up on it so what the hell, might as well do it too.

bottom drivers side. follow the supply hose that connects to the fuel rail.
