I think I am going to use a combination of Liquid Nails and Zip Ties.

Alright bro, was about to head to bed, but figured I got time to take out the grill and take some pics...

Alright this is a pic of the right side (veiwed from the front of car). Basically the mesh is holding it self up there, I also used the holes in the back piece as kind of support. The left side was done the same.

Here is basically what's supporting the bottom part of the grill. The bottom piece that sticks out from the back and you screw in I left it a little high and cut out a notch of the mesh for clearance.

Here are two pics right and left side of where I used a black twist tie to keep it in for those "just in case" situations, heh. It's that part that connects to the headlights...

And there you have it... that's how it worked for me and when it's on it looks completely fine and doesn't look all loose and stuff... here's a finished product pic... heh

When cutting the mesh it just kinda naturally bended and the curve was perfect for the grill. I cut it a little big so it wouldn't be too small and not fit... since it was too big I could wedge it in there basically... I hope this sheds some light to your conflicts. Let us know how you end up doing it and post some pics!

Thanks Josh! Tonight I worked on it some more and in the next post I'll put up some updated pics. I hope I don't have cancer from this dust and crap. Anyways I sanded it down better basically.

One question... should I paint the whole thing? I'm thinking of doing that rather than just the front part. And I'm planning on painting my mesh black.

I am at the exact same point as you AadosX.

jsinger, are the unfilled holes/notches easily noticed when the grill is installed?

No problem man, glad I could help. Yeah if I could do it again or if I decided to get around to it, I would probably paint the whole thing, just so it looks better. I too thought about painting the grill black. I might buy some more grill and paint it black and see which I like better or just wait for your pics (assuming you do black as planned)

Once installed, not really, since it's mostly dark and black under the hood it isn't that noticable. The hood over hangs a little as well, which helps hide little stuff like that.

All the ppl and friends that have looked at it, don't see it or don't say anything about it.

ok... little update for me. reading this thread made me get my ass in gear and finish up my own grill. Like AadosX, I had the cutting and filling done, but was stuck on the mesh install part.

here's a few pics of what I did in the last few hours.

here I cut out a cardboard guide the size of the hole. I used it to cut the mesh (a cm bigger all around the edge). I trimmed as necessary and bent the outter edge in using a bench vise.

here I used a soldering iron and matches to melt the grill into the plastic. I also melted extra plastic (pieces I cut away eariler) onto the grill and then melted it all together... like spot welding.

here it is assembled and ready for paint. More pics tomorrow!
