Default Home made grill help plz!

Hey,

I'm at this point with my grill... and need some advice before I move on.

First of all here are some pics...

Ok, now I am going to dremel the jagged peices off the bottom, then sand it all with rough, then fine... but what grit do you suggest? Also, do I need to connect it any way in the center for support?.. like the top bar to the bottom one.

After that I am going to prime it with gray, and I bought OEM base coat spray can, and DupliColor clear coat.

How in the world do I go about putting mesh on this thing... I'm going to buy the mesh gutter guard I guess from Home Depot/Lowes etc.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
John

I don't see what I would zip tie it to... I'm way confused on this one... I don't even have an idea of where the mesh would go. Behind the whole thing? In front of where the grill screws into the car?

The mesh goes in the middle. I used fishing line to tie mine under where the screws go into. I don't really remember it that well, but if I get some time I'll take some pics if ya want.

I'll see if I can't get some pics of where have the mesh held on for "just in case" cuz other wise, mine is basically just wedged in there and it keeps itself in there.

i would fill in the hole in the back section of the grill first, then get it real nice and smooth. to attached the mesh, i cut a general shape out and after some trimming I fiberglassed it in place on the back of the grill. epoxy or superglue would work too.
