Default lets talk performance ...

wassup all,

just wanted some advice - i have a 5-spd 2000 accord and was interested in a little more boost. currently, i have an intake and exhaust, but was interested in 1.) headers and 2.) programming my ECU.

1.) headers - first and foremost, does this give me the right amount of hp for the amount of money i'm spending, which company makes solid headers and also, should i get ceramic or not?

2.) programming ECU - i've only heard of people doing this, but does it work? how much hp will it boost and how much do you think it'll cost?

thanks!

You need to go forced induction (turbo or SC) if you want any real gains, or else buy yourself a new car. The F23 isn't designed for performance. Sorry, but that's the truth if you're looking for dramatic gains. Headers won't give you many horses(5 or 7), and reprogramming your ECU won't do much.

Good Header brands = Comptech or DC

If you have a 4 cyl. then its a header not headers... otherwise your right.

Don't know about that ECU stuff tho...

Comptech only makes V6 applications.

get a DC 4-2-1 Stainless Steel Header thats #1 on the market for the I4 accords and its Carb Exempt in most applications. as for reprograming the ECU many will say it doesnt work or doesnt have real gains. well i have one in my ride and the gains are noticeable many fight with me about it but changing points along ur air/fuel ratio, gearing, ignition.. and so on has its advantages. but if u want real power u need to get a turbo
