I'm just worried that if a tranny breaks say at 36001 miles. then i'm totally screwed.

My parents had a Mazda with a 60,000mile warranty and it went out at like 63,000....Mazda still covered it..

I bought the extended warranty out to 100,000. It's not just the engine to worry about -- that will run for 200,000 miles. It's the computer controlled stuff. If the traction control goes, or the electrical system, or anything like that, one repair will get your $$$ back. The American Honda warranty I got also includes roadside assistance, towing, and rental car reimbursement.
