On some cars the dots are on the front window too, thats why i do not think that they are for the antenna. Like said before the vertical lines is what i have always thought to be the antenna.
For example our 93 lexus had an external antenna that retracted no vertical lines on the rear window. The 97 had it built into the rear window and has vertical lines as does the 2000 one.

We tinted an 03 sedan a little while ago and we used spray tint on the dots and you could not tell the difference between that and the film tint.

Just remember, they're still bigger than yours :fawk:! BTW, I guess you can call me Joe, since I know your name and the HAN senority seem to be on a first name basis with each other, anyway.

Well, I'm not trying to get in with the big boys, but I was a member before the big crash last year. I'm sure there's only a handfull of people (outside the mods) who can say this.

i believe the dots are their for cosmetic purposes. It blends the window molding with the transparency of the glass itself. Like a gradient effect.

also.....it is electronicly impossible for those dots to be an antenna. How does it carry reception? Through the glass? Glass isnt a conductive metal...HECK..its not a metal! Common sense folks! :fawk:

I think honda puts those dots on to piss us off man! UGH! The cosmetic advantage is minute.
