I used to have my accord dropped on Progress springs which dropped it about 2.3 inches. Even with that my car was so fricking low. I hated it and now have it dropped with H&R's. I say coilovers but if you dont need to drive the car that much, I say go with w/e you want...

eh he thanks, and for those who had about 2.25-3" drops, what were the degrees you need to adjust your camber, front and rear, if some of you use washers method, how many washers you need for each bolt on each side, and how long are your bolts?

Thanks.

no washers on my ride i forget the degree of camberi got on my ride. personally i would never do a washer on my car IMO its not safe and on poor roads like NYC they'll break easily from the stress of pot holes and what not. u can get front and rear kits now for like $200 i think $200 is well worth it to properly protect my ride

for a 5th gen, the rear kits aren't safe. as long as you buy aircraft grade bolts(or equivalent), the longer bolt, washer method is perfectly fine and actually safer... i know the ingalls rear kits(and every other rear kit that replaces the arm is basically the same) have a tendancy to break and bend over time where as an aircraft grade bolt or equivalent will not.

poohboi: definately correct your camber, you'll save on tire wear and.. well... negative camber form a 2.5"+ drop just looks :ghey:

I have heard this on forums, BUT have never actually heard from someone that actually had the rear kit that theirs broke. I have an ingalls rear kit and have had NO problems so far! And that is with whipping the e-brake on pavment a few times, Hard cornering (sliding at 80mph & such) and two jumps, one w/ all 4 tires off the ground and one with just the rear 2 tires off the ground. so mine have taken some abuse.

Before I had the ingalls, I had washers in the rear with somewhere around 6-8 washers on EACH bolt! the shop put that many on. that was with only a 1.5" drop in the rear, so with a 3" drop you probably wouldn't get enough camber adjustment. I was alot easier on the bolts/washers then I am on the ingalls kit.

hope that helps

wow thats pretty amazing. I would like to know how that happened? was the car in an accident or what?

I have a hard time believing that they are that weak. people also say the front ones have problems and they slip which in fact is they way they are adjusted, if you want to adjust them all the way out you need to modify the car.
