They said You should do it so automatically when your wheels touch the ground your suspension is already stiffened up and the car will adjust to it kinda like your ECU and when you install a intake. Not sure though. But if neuspeed says that, then dont listen to me...
Haha! I wouldn't go back to that race shop again. They have no idea what they are talking about!

Well actully Its a pretty tight race shop and they have good service and tight rides But I think the guy that was working that day was on crack because he seems to not really know what hes talking about sometimes. Or I think he just tired non-stop...But the rest of the crew is cool...

Actually, you are both right. The neuspeed is non-adjustable so it does not need to be "pre-loaded". The adjustable ones (DC, generics, etc.) should be pre-loaded by lifting the vehicle before installing..

I didn't raise my car when I installed my Generic Front Upper Strut Bar. It seems to be working fine. I'm going to have to take it off anyways, when I install my new springs/shocks, so maybe I'll do it then.

strut bars need to be pre-loaded? just adjust them so theyre on tight as for fitting the neuspeed bar, sometimes the holes on the body dont match the bar. in those cases, you may need to jack up the car to flex the body for the bolts and holes to line up

Yes, this works too (it is actually the way I did it ) But it is best to lift your car and then just tighten the bar till it is "snug". The problem with preloading the bar while your car is on the ground is that you don't know when to stop tightening the bar. Basically, you want the strut bar to keep your frame neutral. i.e. the bar not pushing out on the frame and not pulling it in either.

You can also adjust your strut bar to give your car certain handling charactoristics for different racing conditions. But that is all over my head.
