Default CAI for hybrid?

Hey.

What cold air intake setup are you hybrid owners running?

I called AEM about my h22a1 / 4th gen accord, and they said that they couldn't confirm anything about which CAI to use - Accord or Prelude.

Any thoughts?

Use the Accord CAI since the intakes are made for the car and not necessarily the engine.

I have a 94 Accord with a 98 H22 in it and the CAI I had in the car before fits just fine in it.

If you want a good deal on a CAI let me know I can hook you up.

Well I need to get one in the next few weeks. Do you work at a performance shop or something?

Yeah I work for a custom car builder and we have a hook up on some parts. I know we have the CAI for your car available.

Its not the "cool" brand name but it all pretty much works the same regardless of the claims made by various companies.

Brand doesn't matter to me as much as effectiveness. What is it made of? Aluminum? What's the finish? K&N filter? etc..

Aluminum build and comes with a rechargeable filter (same build as K&N) and all hardware to mount it.

PM me for more details.

wow, I am surprised that works cause the f22 TB is 2.5" and the H22 is 3". I'm glad if it does cause i thought i would have to get a new CAI if I ever did the H22 swap - like that's ever gunna happen!

Well, I have head that with the larger TB on the H22 that you have to mod the intake some but if you all say no then I have to say ok. i was thinking about it and it dont make sence to have to mod the intake, isn't there a rubber part to join the CAI to the TB? then ti should slip righ tover teh TB.

Nightshade, your PM box is full.

Anyone else have any ideas? What do hybrid owners here actually use?
