AEM V2 first dyno in TURBO magazine. . .
Ok, so its for a civic EX. . . I'm not sure how relevant this is to us, but i thought it was cool. Their dyno shows peak gains of 5.5 WHP for the v2 compared to 1.5 for the regular CAI. The article also talks about the way the intake is contructed and says AEM can vary the power peak by changing the overlap between the big pipe and the smaller pipe.
Also, for one last shot at those of you who worship cars but disrespect physics, the first paragraph of turbo's article goes something like this. . .
"You'd think the high-flow intake has reached the pinnacle of its evolution. A mandrel bent tube is a mandrel bent tube, right? Wrong."
I won't be able to scan the article or dynos til i get back to school (i'm home for the weekend) but ill get on it ASAP.

I was dead set on getting an Injen short ram, and after seeing the V2, I still didn't change my mind. But know I'm thinking since the intake is the only engine mod I'll do, I'm thinking V2??? I only recently started to consider this.
hmm, well, in any case, i believe 5.5 is more believable than 16.9, plus im sure that 16.9 is at the crank. . .and probably for a car more poorly tuned than the civic ex.
I suppose we'll see. I'm sure SCC will do a real series of tests soon. As for the reputation of turbo magazine, I don't have a clue, i grabbed it off the store shelf becuase it said AEM V2 test on it. If its legit, it looks good to me though. Even if it isnt 16.9 on the civic EX, if turbo magazines dynojet is even close, the V2 is 200% more powerful than the regular CAI. . .at least for that application.
