i believe 2point6 is now running a 2.4L. he had a 2.6 and had too many problems. he runs low 13's and he may have hit 12's recently. it could be costly. you would need new pistons at least. and while youre at it you might as well just build the whole block. to have it sleeved, new rods, new high compression pistons, bearings, blueprinted-balanced, bored, machined. it would run about $2500-3000. 2point6 made i think 225hp and just guessing but i think it was 190ft/lbs of torque and he runs low 13's in a 4th gen with full interior

I think the cheapest easiest way to gain some torque would be to shave your head. One of my freinds that's been building engines for a while said I could gain 30 pounds of torque if I shave .025 off the head. I'm sure he was exagerating a little. Only problem with this is your going to creat a lot more heat, so your going to have to take that in consideration. You'll defeintly need to run higher ocatane gas, possible even retard the timing, and also i'd find out how much you can shave on a honda head before you have to worry about the piston hitting the valves. p.s. .010 is all the book recommends for shaving off the head, but I believe they make thinner head gaskets too.

You'd need a new block, almost certainly, especially to tackle 2600cc. The bores would be too small otherwise.

Just get an H22A4 and a turbo/supercharger and call it a day.

There's nothing you're gonna do to that h22 to get a great deal more torque without spending a heap of cash. The Z28 option is'nt that bad of an idea though.....

Trade Horsepower for Torque, , Then you'll end up like a mustang. Torque is good for burnouts and thats about it.

The Z28 is crossing to the darkside man haha. Turbo+all the bull**** = $5000 in the end.

After turbo kit/installation/proper tuning/then hoping I don't blow the **** out of my motor.

So was thinking if I can avoid that. See what im saying.

91 Ex-R how much do you consider a "HEAP" of cash ?

Thanks guys.
