I think the cheapest easiest way to gain some torque would be to shave your head. One of my freinds that's been building engines for a while said I could gain 30 pounds of torque if I shave .025 off the head. I'm sure he was exagerating a little. Only problem with this is your going to creat a lot more heat, so your going to have to take that in consideration. You'll defeintly need to run higher ocatane gas, possible even retard the timing, and also i'd find out how much you can shave on a honda head before you have to worry about the piston hitting the valves. p.s. .010 is all the book recommends for shaving off the head, but I believe they make thinner head gaskets too.
