Exhaust rattle?
So can I just take off the lower heat sheild?? Will I need a lift and what tools will I need. I am going to take off my Cat. to see too because it sounds like I have the exact same problem as epoxy does.
You can put it up on a ramp or blocks or whatever allows you to get under it comfortably.
Just make sure you let the car cool down before you go grabbing ish under there though

well.. i had alot of miles on mine..i have a lowered lude and had 7.5 inch wheel ramps.
it was hell b/c i had about 1 inch of space between the shield on the cat and my chest.
the bolts might be rusted to hell and you cant get much leverage. just keep at it and you'll get it.
you have to take 3 bolts off each end, 4 bolts to the shield (take cat off first to get to the top screw on the shield)
then when you get the shield off you have to take the 02 sensor off. (that spark plug looking thingy) and unscrew it.
then do the opposite of what you just did, then you got yourself a new cat!
---- if you are looking for what was wrong with mine, the inside of the CAT will be all junkie and stuff will be obstructing the air flow.
if you leave it like that, you'll get a big hunk in the CAT and barly any or no air can get out. this will heat up parts b/c there is no where for the air to go. you'll start to notice your car dying at high RPMs and it'll get worse...
