whats the deal?
why is there no suspension forum on here?
ok, about a week ago my right front wheel started making a clicking/scraping sound. i asked some people about it and they all said it's my cv joint, but i KNOW it's not the cv joint. i replaced the cv joint before and it is not making the same sound. it is a scraping, not a clicking. it happens as the wheel spins, doesnt matter if i'm turning or not. 2 days ago i went to take off my right wheel to see if i could figure out the problem and i noticed the tire was BALD on the outside. it looks like something is scraping the tire, but why would this all of the sudden happen now?? the left front tire is balled also, but it doesnt look like something is scraping it. i JUST got these new toyo tires and theyre already shot. somebody help.
here is a picture of the right front tire:
i'm probably going to take it to a shop tonight/tomorrow. i'm so tired of throwing money at this car.

Camber kit is your friend.
I did mine and have had the same set of tires on for more than a year with no uneven wear.
Also you may need an alignment but if you get the camber kit then the shop that installs it will most likely have to realign it afterwards and its usually a part of the price.
As for the tire wear my guess is that it is rubbing up under the wheel well. Run your hand up underneath it and see if there is any wear spots on the liner.
If you recently put a lowering kit on it then it may have settled. Regardless of what the companies claims are (H&R is good for this) they will settle some and sit lower than the initial drop.

you helped me drop my car...remember at Dave's house?...lol
the springs i bought were used so i dont think they would be settling. (it's been a really long time since they were put on anyway.) and i do have a camber kit on.
i think i just have extremely bad toe-in.
i still have no clue whats making the scraping sound...a friend told me it sounds like a warped rotor, is that possible?

Oh yeah I remember that....thought the name was familiar
It could be a warped rotor or possibly a wheel bearing.
Get the rotors checked to make sure they are true or at least in good shape, if they are then you may want to check to see if the bearings are packed correctly.
Sometimes it sounds like a constant rubbing sound.
As for the toe in....get an alignment fool
