Default price a little high...

I think for that price I would rather opt for the WRX STi

The STi is going to be at least $4,000 more and they aren't even close to being the same type of cars. TSX = luxury and good handling :slap: The STi is very harsh and would be hard to live with on an everyday basis for 100k miles. At least up here.

Well, have you driven it yet? They are out at the dealerships. How do you like it?

Even with the harsh ride I would opt for the STi. The TSX looks kinda weak outside but the interior looks great! I think the TSX loses in the looks department.

Congratulations. Once again, they appeal to completely different markets.

Default TSX

I tried the TSX 6 speeed yesterday and my first impression was that it handled like a BMW325. I was in the market for an Accord EXL 5 speed but now that I tried the TSX I changed my mind. The dealers however are selling sticker and don't negociate much, that's gonna change in a few months I Hope.

The engine is smooth but I was expecting more power out of it. It's rated at 6.6s/100km(60mph) but it didn't feel that fast. Maybe that's because the engine is quiet. I liked the manual tranny it feels tight and precise. My parents have a TL and i tried the Auto sport shift for a couple of miles but you get fed up and just leave it on D. A real sports car should be manual.

This car is oriented to the buyers who are looking for a high performance family car. It only has a 4 cyl and the performance is on par with many 6 cyl, this speaks for itself. Fuel consumption is also lower than the 6 cyl. To fill up a gas tank in Canada 17 gal The outside looks classy without the bells and whistles. The inside looks very well made and everything is within easy reach.

It's selling for 35,750.00 cdn all in. In the States it sells for 26,990.00 USD ($40,485.00cdn exchage rate X1.5 ) 2 months ago the exchange rate (X1.6) would have made the price in cdn funds 43,100.00 cdn. This means that if you could buy in Canada the TSX would cost you 23,800.00 USD now and if the exchange rate gets back like 2 months ago 22,343.00 USD. A freind of mine sells used cars and most higher end cars end up being sold in the States because they make alot more money with them.

Anyway I like this car.

I have to agree the TSX is a nice car. It does drive very smoothly. I couldn't get it up that fast being i only test drove it on some side streets but it was sweet!!! I just can't decide if this is the car i want....

It all depends what your looking for. If your single then you could get the Accord 2 door V6 for less money. If you have a family and need 4 doors then the TSX is a nice choice and it consumes less gas too.

Personally I have a family but still want a car that's sporty. I used to have an Eagle Talon Turbo AWD and am now stuck with a Deisel Jetta. Now those are two extremes! You get incredible mileage with the Jetta and pretty good handling but if your in a hurry that's the wrong car to have. My lease ends in August I can't wait. This gives me time to shop around.

These are the cars that I like.

Acura TSX M/T, Nice car
Honda Accord EXL M/T, a little bulky -$
Mazda 6 GT I4 M/T, not sure about durability -$
Volvo S60 M/T, more +$$ with equip of TSX
Nissan Altima 2.5 SL MT, looks cheap inside -$
Infiniti G35 M/T, nice but +$$
Audi 1.8T M/T, a little small but nice, more +$$ for same equip TSX

I geuss that the TSX is hard to beat.

indeed the tsx is very hard to beat on value...

test drove 6 speed today. handling was fairly numb but i blame the tires. tranny was perfect. fit and finish excellent. instrumentation simple and clean.

for the price...you cant go wrong. will most likely be getting this for my fiancee in the next few months.

btw...mazda 6 4cyl really cant compare to this car.

The 2004 RL has a newly designed interior. They finally put the CD changer in the dash!! Also new is standard naviation. Can't get the car without it! The new audio system also includes XM Sattelite Radio, which will be free for the first 3 months. Then regular subscription rates will apply. Guess what else! The RL has gauges similar to the TSX, progressivly lit LED. OnStar is also standard. I dare you to get lost now! They will run about $45k to $48k depending on any dealer installed accessories.
