My gas light came on last night at 300 miles. Drove it until abot 315. Filled it up w/ 15 gallons. How many miles should I get with this? Been driving lightly since last night and today. Haven't gone past 4,000 rpm's. Want to see if it comes on even if I drive lightly or whatever.

I think I still hold the record for the other way, 14.7gallons fillup..... 131miles on the trip meter well 14.7 gallons and 10lbs of nitrous(probably more like 8 till my pressure started dying) Made it from Saratoga to watsonville, then almost all teh way back till the gas light came on heheheh

is it unsafe to let your tank to dry even on purpose to see how far you can go? And if it does go dry...would you have any complications starting the car back up with fresh gas in it?

Thanx!

My record was 400miles on 13.5gallons or so. I have a 97 automatic Lx sedan. I usually get 350 or so.

In the summer time, I can get a little over 550 miles out of a tank, if I keep it under 75mph. That results in a 16 gal fillup. Works out to 34.5 mpg.

Damn ya'll. You are making me worry. I get regular maintenence and my ride only gets about 320 miles to 14.5 gals. That aint' so hot. I shift almost always before about 4500 rpm.

The day I bought it I drove it from Tampa to Atlanta 504 miles on 15 gallons! All hwy so that's obvious.

I'm going to try to drive conservative to see what it does.

I love my friend's BMW. IT has a MPG needle that helps you keep low on the consumption when driving.
