Default Wheels stick out of fender - problem?

Hi guys,

I have just installed new wheels and tires on my 99 EXV6 sedan.
Wheels are Zigen 17x7 with 42 offset, tires 215x50x17 Dunlop SP Sport 5000. The ride is great!

The rear wheels are flush with the fenders, but front wheels are sticking out of the well about 1/5 of an inch. Does this make any sinse that wells are different on the rear and front?
Besides potential rubbing, is this going to create any problem like water/dirth throwing?

I am on stock suspension now but considering Eibach Pro kit with 1.5" drop. What should I do? And what is fender rolling?

Thanks

hmm....if you want to be like a mexican you could always get really wide tires, lower the car to the ground and drive around thinking it looks good.

if not: get rims with like a 32-38 offset not 42.

Well, creating a dope looking ride is not the point here

As far as offset, if I follow your suggestion my wheels will be sticking out even more 'cause my stock rims had about 55(?) mm offset at 6" wide.

get an offset that is higher than 42..the lower the number offset is the more the wheels sticks out from the center hub...i would probably suggest a 50+ offset if your wheel is sticking out from your fender...or you could just have the hub shaved down...pick your choice

How easy is it to shave a hub down and what should I be conserned about when doing this?

Do I shave it down from edges or the flat side?

Dont know if this would work but you can do a fender roll with a bat. You take a bat and you try to roll your fender out, so that it doesnt look like ur wheel is sticking out.

I believe theres a DIY somewhere on this page for an Integra.
do a search

are u sure your offset is 42? i have a 6th gen also and used to run with 17x7, +40 offset, 225/45/17 and 2 finger gap lowered... the rims were flush with the fenders, they didn't stick out at all.... a lot of 6g owners with 17" are running with 40 or 42 offset and 215 or 225 wide tires and don't have problems with sticking out... i'm curious to see how it sticks out... can you post pics?

Well, now that you asked me about offset, I can not be sure 'cause I could not find it anywhere on the wheel itself, the only proof is the pieces of shipping box the wheels and tires came wrapped in, but these pieces of carboard could be from diff. offset wheels... Can I return these wheels (and keep the tires) to the .com which sold them to me? They said the wheels would fit perfect

I do have pix, I just can't figure out why I can not attach pix to my reply - option is disabled ... I can email them to you

Went on the ride around the city with loaded trunk and 1 passenger in the car - ALL 4 corners RUB on potholes and I was thinking about lowering the car

Help!

all 4 corners rub all 4 corners rub

OK, I checked on official 5Zigen Japan website - my wheels only come with one offset - 43mm (Inperio S-08). I am totaly confused now, how come other people run 40 offset on their Accords?
I did install the center hub plastic ring under new wheels, but this should not matter, right?
