I dont understand what your trying to say about the TL-S not having to do with anything. No i've never driven the CL-S but i think its ugly. The two people i konw with ludes paid 31 Grand for them They have 00 SH's. Yes they cost them that much. Besides shouldnt a manual be cheaper? So it doesnt matter that the CL-S 6 speed was out or not the Sports shift was and plenty of people picked them up. And didnt the prelude discontinue because of the high price.

ar·gu·ment n.: A discussion in which disagreement is expressed; a debate.

TL has nothing to do with anything because we're talking Accord 6 spd vs CL 6 spd. The TL doesn't have a 6 speed. I gave you the TMV (Edmunds.com True Market Value) for a CL-S 6 speed with Navi...with options and shiet I'm sure the MSRP would run up to 35 grand, but would be easily bargained down a few grand.

Cars like the Accord Coupe and CL Type-S that get manual trannies and have previously only been available with automatics will routinely go for more than the automatics. Enthusiasts buy them. They do not want automatics. In a Honda Civic an automatic is worth more than a manual, yes. Funny how that works. But I think the whole basis to your argument is that the 6 speed will be priced $3,000 above MSRP, which I disagree with.

Prelude was discontinued due to poor sales. Many factors influenced its poor sales...namely, bland looks (although I love them), inflated price, low hp/torque compared to rivals, and the Accord Coupe.

I've driven a CL-S, and I own a 330i with sport package, and I can tell you the Cl-S didn't handle anywhere near as good as my 330i. Maybe the one they tested it against didn't have the sport package, but the CL-S felt like a boat compared to my car. This whole "disagreement" about CL-S vs Accord is pretty dumb, they are essentially the same car, minus a few luxury add ons in the CL-S. I agree with what somebody said above, the CL is ugly, I hate them. My wife has an 03 accord V6, and I prefer the looks of that to a CL anyday, although I do agree it is absurd to spend over 30k on an accord...............

This whole nonsense about dealers only getting one or two 6 speed accords is rubbish in my opinion. Why would Honda spend all the money to produce this car, realize people want it, and then only give each dealership one? It doesn't make sense. This time next year they will be all over the place......I'm betting its gonna be like the S2K, Civic Si, Prelude SH craze......maybe at first they'll be difficult to obtain (maybe) but soon the craze will die out and those things will be sitting in just about every honda lot waiting to be sold.

Either you drove the automatic, or you're a tad biased.

 I paid 21,275 for mine . And I had to wait till Dec. of 1999 for the 2000's for my color, as I started looking in Aug. I'd like to meet those who paid 30k for this car, as I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell them.

I checked on Ebay awhile ago and there was an auction for an Accord 6 speed on there. They were taking deposits on THE RIGHT TO BUY IT FOR MSRP!!! I would never pay more than msrp for an accord, 6speed or whatever. They claim that they're only producing 1000 units for 2003. A figure which will rise for 2004.

the 330 does in fact handle better on the street than the cl-s. the 245's on the 330 is the major factor. the cl-s is equiped with some crappy ass 215's. why, i will never understand. the japanese are edging closer to the germans as far as refinement and handling capability but theyre not quite there yet.

None of us have driven both cars back to back on the track. Car and Driver, the Bible, tells us that the CL Type-S 6 speed's handling is nearly equal to the handling of the BMW 330Ci.
