Default Braking Issue

Ive got a '93 accord and at times when Im just about to stop completely it feels like the front driver side of the car is being pulled down... I can let off a little and push the break back down and itll do it again...

Let of the steering wheel, when you hit the brake do you have a pull left or right? You may have one brake grabbing harder then the rest. The left front probably or the right front is seized open.

Take it apart. See if the piston moves. Also check your caliper slide pins. If the piston is seized open you will need a new caliper. I have only seen one caliper sized open it was on a car that had sat for a long time. So we can probably rule that out but you never know. Do you have any problems with only one tire locking/skidding up before the rest when you brake or just the LF drops during braking. If the LF tire locks before the rest you have a brake problem if its only your suspension moving you have a suspension problem (week spring).

So ya on your way home test somethings. It could be a lot of things. So just get back with us with some more info and we can probably narrow it down. Do you have tools at your house/ comfortable with working on your own car/ maybe a digital camera to upload images?

Tried somethings on the way home and i felt a slip in on spot but when I rolled a little further up is stopped and just the front went down... I also noticed a little wobble... Could it be a warped rotor, since it catches one part but not another???

Warped rotors cause a vibration in the brake peddle or steering wheel usually at higher speed But maybe it could be warped rotors. Its very hard to fix a car on line. Plus you are not conferrable with working on your own car this makes it even harder on my end. You may just take it in an have it looked at by a good shop.

I am thinking it a suspension because you do not have a problem with it locking one tire before the rest and you do not have a problem with a pull when you hit the brakes.

I do think it is a safety issue and is worth getting it fixed. Ever thing else can fail on your car but you always need your brakes.

O I'm not judging. There are some cars I don't want to work on at all. Mainly passports, insights, civic hybrids, accord hybrids and for some reason I have no luck with Toyota. The hybrids can kill you if you mess around. So believe me I understand.

You could just take off the 2 front tires and look at your pads. If one side of the cars pads are wearing harder then the other. The side that has more beef is not grabbing as hard. Look at the outside pad and the inside pad. No brake bleeding required. The pad wear should all be the same plus or minus 1.5mm. Also look at your rotors you are looking for hot spots (purple circles), deep groves, small cracks are a give away of overheating, rotor wear the (outside edge will be tall very tall). If you have some measuring equipment you can check to see if your rotors are warped either run out or parallelism.

Maybe even take pics and post them up.

Well, I took it to the family mechanic and looks likes like one of the rotors will need to be machined or replaced... Thanks for the help...
