stock header on the US hondas are whack in terms of visual appeal. no matter what is done to it, you can sand it down till its smooth as a babys butt and paint it whatever color you want and itll still look whack. just clean up the stock heat shield and respray that OR just get an aftermarket header... anything else is :down:

Nah I live in Dallas.. I go to the art institute actually. But if the meet is coo, I may go ..I'll keep an eye out for it.

I removed the shield. havent painted the headres (not goign to) and I have no probs from heat. In fact I think it helped a little.the engine needs a little heat and that shield isn't all that importaint anyways. IMO

Cool. Yeah man, I see those rusty headers in the pic in your sig:chuckles: I think im just gonna paint my heat shield for now, then next year I'll pick up some headers for it.

The reason I didnt paint the headers is cus I am saving all $$ for the H22 so no need in spening the $$ on paint.

I feel ya. I think im gonna continue the graphite scheme under the hood, graphite valve cover w/black lettering, graphite heat shield w/black hand, no need for this stuff to stand out, I don't want all the attention to be drawn to my valve cover when I pop my hood.

I can get a can of hi temp paint for $3.50. We're not talking powdercoating here. Do you mean you don't want to spend the time?
