You can take them from an Acura TL. You need everything except the housing...ballast, unit, etc etc. I'm sure you can search and find a better explanation.

You're beginning to remind me of illmaticNYC. Not alot, just a little.

? what's the difference between an acura TL hid vs ones off bmw/audi, etc...?

sure, it's d2r as opposed to d2s but what's the point? :dunno: the base is identical between the two and both won't fit into an accord housing correctly, end result = massive blinding glare to everyone else on the road.

do yourself and everyone else a favor and get a 9006-rebased HID kit (assuming yours is a 4th-6th gen). there will still be glare but at least not as bad as ghetto-riggin' d2 bulbs into the 9006 housing.

speaking of bulbs, anyone know what bulbs are used in the 7th gen accord? i haven't had a chance to look at one closely so don't know what kind of bulb they take.

Very good question. Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe it's never suggested because they're more expensive/harder to get.

I dunno what bulb...I know the 6gens had pretty damn good headlights though.

usc:

would you say it's better

1. to get an HID kit made for 9006

2. retrofitting the projector off bmw, audi or s2000 and then using HID?

thanks

Wats up guys. I own a 94 Accord LX 5 speed. recently i put in Acura XENON lights in my car. I got the whole kit (bulbs, wires, and the box).Let me tell you something it looks hot.I already got many compliments on it.Also it gives you much more light. To install them all you have to do it take those acura bulbs and make the plastik bottom of the bulb a little smaller.you stick the bulb into the head light adn put silicon around it. Also what you have to do just cut into your original wires(dont cut them).Other thing i advie you to change your headlights if they are dirty its just looks a little better.

#2 is better. but more time consuming, technically involved, and if not done right, could end up with not so wonderful results.

and don't do what Accordacer did. he thinks HID's about blinding the rest of the world.

Accordacer, if you come back and read this, do me a favor and park your car in front of a white wall about 20 feet away and take a picture of the beam pattern at night. i want to see what beam pattern (or the lack of) you're afflicting people with there with your silicon bulbs.
