The H22A4 is probably a quicker revver, etc. than the H22A1. You might be surprised that it's worth it.

The H23 is the non-VTEC Prelude engines. Made around 160HP.

Its the same engine(H22A) ur just getting Type S Pistons with Type S Cams so u figure the Pistons are like 380 a set and the cams are like 690 so thats $1070 ..IMO get a dirt cheap H22 from over from a junkyard rebuild it and put the pistons and cams you'll be able to juice 220 outta of it , and 2900 for a Prelude Type S engine is cheap if its the real deal cause ive seen them run for 4500 on the net , or u can get a junkyard h22 and rebuild it and u can save some $$ if u know what ur doing

Does it matter what year H22 I use in my 90 Accord? Or do they all fit the same?

That page is incorrect. S has a higher CR and more aggressive cams.
