Default Tuning up my 1st honda

Hey everyone. I recently purchased my 1st honda, 94 Accord EX 5spd. I want to tune it up right before I start driving it. From most of the threads I've been reading, as far as spark plugs and wires go, its NGK. I know that O'Reilly's sells V-power's (which I have in my probe GT and work great) but I dont know where to get the wires from. Also can anybody suggest a good engine oil to use? (tried the search engine but its not workin). Now MTX fluid. From threads that I read, they say you should only use honda products. Can anybody back this up? I also plan on using seafoam as well. Can anybody suggest anything else I may have missed besides like cap and rotor?

Regular engine oil should be fine on the Accord as long as you change the engine oil regularly. Using only honda products will give you quality reassurance and mostly personal preference. How many miles do you have on the accord, maybe following the honda scheduled maintenance will suffice.

I believe that the recommended plugs are Denso plugs,or at least that's what I'm using and NGK wires with no mods to the motor. You should probably check Autozone, they seem to have everything I ever look for for my Accord.I just get my oil changed at either Valvoline or where ever I can get it changed for cheap,I don't think it really matters.I've heard of people using a synthetic, but they say that you should change it after only 2k miles after the first usage, then go back to the normal 3k changing schedule. If you think that you might want to try a synthetic blend,I would say do a little research to weigh the pros and cons .

I also had a Probe GT('93).I will never buy another Ford product as long as I live.It was a total love hate relationship with that car.It makes no sense that a car with such a weak ass motor required premium gas!

Use NGK's
Mobil 1 engine oil
and you can put 10W-30 in the gear box

Well to be technical, Ford produced the car but mazada designed them. The only thing ford made on the Probe is the body syle, interior, and couple parts in the engine. The rest is all Mazada. I luv my probe. I probably wouldnt have bought my accord if the other probe I found wasnt in such bad shape. But I always wanted a honda tho.

Yep,pretty much all the parts were Mazda (626 to be exact)which meant that repair costs were/are ridiculous for and "American" car and some of the parts weren't that easy to get. When I first got it,I had to replace the clutch which took my mechanic about 2 weeks just to get.

Anyway, maybe not all Fords are bad but I can't take that chance anymore. My friends sister gave me(free) her Mercury Mystique, and I can honestly say that the only good thing about that car is the heat.
