to be honest, all HIDs are the same. you get what you pay for. If you wat cheap but failry decent, i would go ebay and look. if you have money to blow go with EUROLIGHTS, Pro Lumen, McCulloch are like high end

well nice colours are 5000k - 10000 k

5k is pure white
6k white with tint of blue
popular one i install most are 8000k. 10 000 cops might be an asshole and give you a ticket

there is no best hid kit.

depending on how strict cops/inspection is in your area, you may want to use a 5000k, or even 4300k (stock on cars that come with HIDs)

Sure there is. If you're going to spend the money, Matsushita/Panasonic Ballasts sit on the top of the food chain.

im just curious, as to what makes one kit better then the other??

is it the light output, the quality, there are other guys that are talkin about the kind of bulb you use...

but what makes that expensive kit worth the buy, compared to the cheaper one, or the one from ebay?

the best are retrofit TSX HID projectors because all PnP will always glare, but i'm using an ebay kit for two years now and it still running well. My cousin with Denso HID wants it too for some reason.

Lowest K 3-4k should provide the best output and visibility.
Anything higher is for looks.

Young kids like the attraction they get from blinding HID kit. With that attention includes the police. Do you really like all the negative attention and hassle. Stay in between. There is no autoban road in the US for you to go 120mph to really need 10K. But if you just want to be a show off, go for it. It's your money.

I've had three pnp kits and they ALL PRODUCE UNWANTED GLARE! They blind folks on the road (including po-po) and on my 00 accord I can see better with Silverstar Ultra halogen bulbs than with HID kit. The kit "shot-out" the beam rather than spreading it. I ended up getting FX projectors and a pnp kit w/ D2s bulbs and doing the retrofit and couldn't be happier. I suggest if you get a kit get one from a reputable seller and with a warranty. I got mine off a member on Honda-Tech.com for about $160 shipped next day with 1 yr. warranty. One of my ballast acted up around the 10th or 11th month and they sent a new one with no problems.

My Silverstars burned out within 6 months. Of course I do use my lights whenever I drive, but still I was a little disappointed.
