Default Fuel line leak

In another post I made mention of a fuel smell and today decided to pop the hood with the engine running and see if I could find it. It wasn't hard.

It's leaking from below the crimped silver piece down the brass fitting (see giant red arrow). Is this something that comes apart in any way or do I need to buy an entire new hose with the banjo fittings?

easy way:
get some of that cement mix or what ever its called *mostly used for radiator leak stops. it comes in a little round tube about 4-5" long and about 1.5" wide.
cut a little piece out, mix it together adn put it on.

or replace the whole line, u cant fix it.
u can but not worth time and effort.

I called the dealer to see how much the hose with the fittings would set me back - $80 bucks. I honestly might have just bit the bullet and driven to the dealership to pick it up but they don't have it in stock.

I was talking with my dad about it and he suggested a similar to solution to nspec - get the radiator/gas tank cement and patch it up that way. That should tide me over till I can bear to part with $80 bucks for a freakin' 8 inch piece of hose.

Thanks for the help - I'll post back and let everyone know how it went.

I ended up using Visachem's "Steel Weld" with uh...varying results. It appears to have slowed the leak significantly (not that it was gushing to begin with) but it's still leaking - it looks like the gasoline is pushing out from under the epoxy at the tops and bottoms. Maybe I can use WATERWELD or something like that at either end?

Also, does any other place than Wal-Mart carry it? I try to avoid that place like the plague.

And one more question - anyone know how long this piece of fuel line was in use and what models? In other words, if I hit up some junk yards to find a new one, what models can I salvage it from? I'm assuming it's fairly common on the 4 cylinder models.

I found the "WATERWELD" at O'Reilly's. Hopefully after putting it on, the leak will be all taken care of.

F22B - I see all the 6th gen Accords have a similar fuel line but, the few pictures of 92-96 Prelude engines I found don't seem to be the same. Granted, I'm checking by looking at the way the fuel line comes off the firewall so I could be wrong.

nspec - I put the "WATERWELD" on and gave it an hour or two to fully set up (even though it sets in 20 minutes). I took my car out for a bit and when I got home, popped the hood with the engine running - dry as a bone! Thanks for the recommendation.
