yeah, that thing!
I guess thats a better name, seeing how "Type-R" in the states sounds a little ricey, unless its a full Type-R car

Mugen grilles are much better than "type-R"'s

Get fake mugen ones.

well, for some reason the resin for the fiberglass is not hardening... harderner must be bad or something... but its been sitting for like 48 hours, and its still soft and sticky...

Oh well, i'll get another grille sometime and try again... for now my 95 meshed grille remains.

even though its fun, i don't like working with the resin and hardener cuz when it gets on your hands, its a ***** to get off..

and how'd u get rid of the cross bar on the black back piece? cuz when i cut mine off, i couldn't get it down all the way.

yeah, the resin is terrible... I wore some gloves when I was laying the sheets.

I just used a sabre saw to get rid of most of the middle pieces... then used a dremel with a sanding drum to remove the stubs from the crossbar... then fine sanded everything.

Just takes some patience.

how long did it take you to do it? That pic of your car in your sig is tight, what color is it? It looks like it could be black cherry, or is it just black?

no reason to trash that grill, just get some new hardener and fiberglass and do it again. and to get the resin off, use eiher paint thinner or denatured alchohol, and mix alittle more into the batch next time. The glass should be pretty much all dry and solid within 24 hours
