Default 97 Accord tranmission problem. Please help!!

97 honda accord transmission does not work. I have checked the linkage at tghe gear shifter and the cable to the transmission and it moves when it is moved into gear. I have checked the fluid. My daughter told me that she had some slippage problems, but when I test drove it the other day it seemed fine. Now when I put it into gear it does not go in forward or reverse. Once it is warmed up it does seem to pull a little bit in reverse.

any advice and comments are much appreciated in advance

Can you explain what you're trying to say here? This is automatic transmission correct?
