acoord navi question
A friend of mine has a navi system from his 02 TL. He crashed his car and is planning on using that engine on his other car ( dont know what his plans are ) He said he would sell me his navi system but would it work in my 02 accord? Im sure it will with necessary wiring and stuff. Is there anything that would prohibit me from accomplishing this?
02 accords did not come with navi.You probably could do it but it will be a pain in the ass.You would need the navi unit,the navi dvd player,the disk,and the satellite hook.I would be no help i cant get acura info just honda stuff.
ps its me berginr i changed my name(if you remember me lol.i was talking to you about cleaning out your trans solenoids).

my friend ordered a linear solenoid for me so i should be gettin it today.
hopefully tomorrow i can install it and fix this issue.
<praying>
I was thinking it would be a bish to install that navi.plus, i wouldnt even know what wires to take out of his car to mate it with mine.
Not much i got a snow day=dicking around.Hope the solenoid works.
Ya a big bitch.Maybe with the digram but i know the honda navi systems is about 5 pages of wires + thy are all specially insulated wires that have a grounded shield shit.So if you used normal wires it would get all kinds of confused.Maybe if you took the hole harness then it would just be plugging in power and grounding.The one thing you probably could not get around is the navi needs a vehicle speed input from the ecm if thy both use the same engine then the ecm might be the same.

the 02TL is the same navi as the 01 odyssey it's a simple install as long as you remember to cut the plugs needed from the doner car and get the navi anti-theft code (4 digit) the easiest way to go about this is to get a pioneer RGB cable as theres 6 wires plus the extra power & data wires that needs to be shielded 4 are video 2 are audio out or just use 3 pairs of RCA audio cables. about 15ft with the plugs cut from the car you extend and reconnect the wires to the display to the brain it's about 2-5 hour job the navi unit is in the trunk and the antenna is under the rear shelf. make sure you grab the antenna as it's a $177 from honda. with the system tested al you need to hook up in the car is +12v , acc , VSS ,dimmer, and for audio a small amplfied speaker can be used.
