no t/c?
American Honda will pay for the new trans with "Good Will" and I will pay for the labor.
Parts = about $5,000
Labor = $515
Its not all covered but I can swallow a $500 bill instead of a $5000 bill.
My dealer was great and handled the calls to American Honda to get it covered under "good will". Not all dealers will do the same. The first one I spoke to practically blew me off as soon as I mentioned the tranny issue and the warrantee extension for the 2000 model year. They didn’t even want to talk about the possibility of doing this under good will. They made it seem like a long complicated process. It wasn’t at all.
Regards,
Jason

Well my dealer in Yonkers, NY. Told me that due to the fact that I had placed an Intake on car that it boosted the overall HP on my 98 and he would "HELP ME" by only charging me $2100 for a tranny. This was only after American Honda blew me off and said that "our" problem was not their fault. THEY SUCK, My next car will be a stick and a G-35.
