okay well i drive an 87 accord... and lately my headlights dont seem to work right what happens is when i turn the brights on they both work but when there off only one works and the thing is that ive changed both lights and they work for like a day and then go out its happened twice now is this a short and if so how do i fix it... and not to by pushy but i need an answer asap... long trip monday

also... if this is a short will it cause any other problems if not fixed

I'd check 2 things:

1. the actual wires that run to the bulb's connector. Make sure the wire isn't exposed in any spot or frayed.

2. check the seal on the bulb housings. If condensation seeps into the lamp housing, then water gathers on your bulbs. Turn them on and they'll pop.
