How much am I looking at to pay for a new windshield for my '94 Accord? Mine is really cracked after an accident. This wouldn't be covered by my insurance or anything. It's out of pocket since I only have liability on the car. How much for a new one plus installation? Thanks.

 

Well i payed 175 for a new passenger side window on my Lude installed and everything but no tint.....I would think it would cost around 300 maybe.

 

I had to get a new windsheild friday after my hood came up and smacked my windsehilf b/c I didnt pin my hood pins. My insurance company is cool tho .. I have a FREE GLASS policy

 

www.89glass.com I used them in 2 states the price and work is pretty good. They use Diamond-Triumph venders in my area, I like their glass.

 

o.. the company was Triumph Glass .. they say there Nation Wide ..

 

sorry to revive this but, I just got a call from 89 glass cause I have a small crack on my windshield.
They asked me to contact triumph auto glass because they will be able to use some glue to fix it?
How will they fix it with glue?

 

They fill the chip with a special liquid and a suction apparatus that "bonds" the glass together, thus preventing the crack from spreading. They're probably opting for this "repair" because the crack/chip is small enough to still pass inspection in your area. That's what you get when insurance companies drive the market.... cheaper = "better"

 

I ended up going with a local company to replace my windshield. I got it done for $140 with a coupon.

 

dont go to none of these huge glass corporations. go to your local glass shop and get it done for dirt cheap.

 

My 05' Accord got a chip on the windshield that spreaded about 11 inches across yesterday after going over a stupid pot hole that has yet to be fixed (chip happened when a big rig threw some pebbles up while on the highway and thats because i was like 4 cars behind it changing lanes). How much do you think a new windshield cost me? And if i have it done at a cheap place as Shallow Bay suggessted, will the quality of the installation be good? How much would it cost if a Honda Dealorship installed the windshield? Thanks for your time.
