Default timing belt change?

hey guys I just bought my girlfriend a 95 accord LX 2.2 liter non-vtec. the thing cranks and idles irratically and when i pull up to a stop sing at idle, it dies on me and when i warm it up it will all of a sudden die on me. i changed the O2 sensor since it was throwing a code for it, and i replaced the spark plugs and wired with new. i adjusted the distributor to where the car runs fine at idle but the distributor is turned to far to bolt back in. could it need a newtiming belt? suggestions?

p.s. does this model car suppost to have the timing indicator cause i cant find it

Um this has nothing to do with the timing belt. If your timing belt was off one tooth it would always run weird, and if it was off two teeth it probably wouldn't run.

"wired with new"

Turn the damn distributor back to the stock position. Clean the EGR ports, throttle body, FITV and IACV. Turning the dizzy is like putting a band-aid on a broken arm.

Why did you buy a car that runs so poorly anyway?

ok tore the timing sprockets and timing belt down. the timing belt was one tooth off. but i found a bigger problem. while i was piecing back together i saw a crack by the #1 intake spring and a hairline crack by the #2. you were right it wasnt the belt that was throwing me off.

change of head should do it..
