Just a thought. The mechanic said it was an electronic part that made high voltage but coils aren't electronic. Maybe he was refering to the ignitor?

Yes it's part of the system but the coil isn't electronic in nature. The ignitor controls the coil and it's electronic

It could very well be the coil. It ran me about $90 from the dealer when I replaced mine. It is very easy to replace yourself. It's right inside of the distributor.

Finally, I'm done with replacing the coil. I havn't had any stalling yet, but i can't really tell if it has fixed my problem. I really hope this has fixed the problem. thanks for all of your inputs and ideas.

it's been about ten days without stalling, so i'm pretty sure that it was the ignition coil now. so if any of you ever run into this similar situation, this thread can be very useful. READ the whole thread carefully. I want to add some afterthoughts about what could possibly lead to this problem. When i first bought the car in 2004 with 50,000 miles on it, i didn't know how to drive stick. so i practised on this car after i got it. so as you can imagine, had a lot of problem with stalling the car when i tried to get it to first gear. So that totally had given problems to the coil. ok, that's about the conclusion of this thread. thanks again for all of those that have participated in this thread. HAN rules.
