it's been about ten days without stalling, so i'm pretty sure that it was the ignition coil now. so if any of you ever run into this similar situation, this thread can be very useful. READ the whole thread carefully. I want to add some afterthoughts about what could possibly lead to this problem. When i first bought the car in 2004 with 50,000 miles on it, i didn't know how to drive stick. so i practised on this car after i got it. so as you can imagine, had a lot of problem with stalling the car when i tried to get it to first gear.
