I've always assumed my '96 gen AV6 has the old legend engine found in the late 80's(88,89??)? I still don't know to this day, but assumed it because of the 170hp and the 2.7L. Is there any difference?

 

I know it underwent some changes (the 1st generation Legend) that bumped horsepower from 160HP to 170HP. I think the final years of the 1st generation Legend had the exact, identical 2.7 liter V-6.

The 2nd generation Legend's engine had a home in the 1996-1998 Acura 3.2TL, too.
