F-Max 5th Gen EX Turbo Mani fit 5th Gen LX?
It just popped in my head. I was reading somewhere that people with LX accords fitting EX headers, and just extending the O2 sensor wire to the new location.
Basically I wanted to find out if the exhaust ports are the same for 5th Gen EX and LX.
Also, if anyone has the F-Max kit do you know if the downpipe from the 5th gen ex, will bolt up to the lx catalytic convertor?
Thanks

Hmm...I remember reading somewhere that people recommend not buying dc headers for lx's, when they can get ex headers for way cheaper.
I cannot find the thread to clarify my mind...that is why i ask again.

the EX and the LX have a different exhaust port pattern on the heads, hence why parts are not interchangable. on the LX, they're evenly spaced, while on the EX, the 2 and 3 ports are closer together. (or is that vice-versa...) regardless, parts are not interchangable.
someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Well I found out that surfing through another fellow honda board, found a positive answer from 3 people found the answer I was looking for:
the ex and lx exhaust manifolds are the same except the ex is try-y (4-2-1) and the lx is 4-1; and the o2 sensor is on the primaries on the lx and at the very bottom of the secondary pipe for the ex. other than that the ports and stud holes are the same.
all that has to be done for the lx mani. to fit on the ex head is you have to extend the o2 wires, very simple.
On the 94-97 Accords the exhaust manifolds are ALL interchangable. On 90-93 they have different patterns. But if you're using a b1 head, then any 94-97 exhaust manifold will work.
F22B head ports spacing / manifold bolts are the same thats why ex can use lx header and vice versa just a design and slight power output difference.
