CV Boot
Sometime I hear clicking noise when make left or right turn on my 91 accord. I had it checked by mechanic. He said that CV boots are not torn.May be grease inside has dried up.Is he right. How can grease dry up when CV boots are not torn. Can I fill the new grease in and make noise go away without changing Boots.
if its just a "CLUNK" not slight "click click click click" your stabilizer link bolt/bushings are bad. they are $30 for both (one for each side) at NAPA
edit: if you dont replace them they can cause premature cv joint failure, because what you hear is your wheel actually pulling out from the car in turns.

Look in the TSB thread or search for 'clicking'...it should be in the FAQ but it's probably not...but this is a very common problem that Hondas have and I posted the fix for it once.
Checking CV joints is simple. Park the car on a level surface with the following procedure: Stop, put trans in neutral, set handbrake, then place vehicle in park. We're trying to keep the load off the trans and axles here. Crawl underneath the vehicle and attach a heavy duty logging chain to the axle and the other end of the chain to a heavy duty rear bumper on a pick-up. Leave LOTS of slack in the chain. Accelerate the pickup to at least 40 MPH.
If that somebiatch holds it oughta be good!
