Accord 2000 turn signal
I just had my car broken into yesterday but can't afford to pay to fix everything(the radio is so much anyway to replace). So I need to install a new console b/c they used a crow bar to pop the thing out. Here's the question:Can I just get a Chilton, order the panel assembly and pop it in? Has some tabs, screws and such. Most importantly, how do I get the blinkers working again? I assume the jerk that stole the radio somehow yanked out a connection for them. Looked all over the net. I will check the spark plugs but if it isn't that what else can I check? I am a newbie but am using this opportunity to learn how to work on my car for sure. Any help would be awesome.
Sorry to hear that bro and welcome to HAN.
Instead of buying chilton, buy a Helms, its alot better. You can search at some local junkyards for cheap replacement parts. About the turn signal, we realy cant tell where 2 look for unless you post some pictures of broken connection but I seriously doubt it cause there are so many wires.
Cant you get something done from your insurance???

No, my deduc is too hihg. There are alotta cosmetic things they did(pry marks, dents) but I am more concerned with the signals. I can install a radio no problem. I guess I was thinking that the radio being disconnected had something to do with it. I was in the process of installing a radio years back on a civic but had only pulled the OEM. The cops pulled me over, long story short, my rear lights were out and the dash lights too. The cop said it was a safety feature, so when the dash is out you know your rear lights are out too. thought maybe the radio removed affected a ciruit...Helms, I will look into that. Got reamed by my "good" mechanic for a 60K last month. I think I can learn a few things...
