fuel filter
iam guessing you already relieved the fuel system pressure, cus this is importan to do first, anyways, working in the engine compartment you first have to unscrew the Banjo bolt on the filter, then you have to go beneath the engine compartment(bay) and using a flare nut wrench, if possible, lossen the fuel line by unsrewing the fitting from the bottom of the filter, and there you go it should come right out. thats the only thing holding the filter that you have to get under the car for.

Can you explain to us how to relieve fuel system pressure?
sure, before you start keep some towels or shop rags handy, you need it. first unscrew the fuel filler cap to let in some air to the gas tank, then you need two wrenches, one to loosen the service bolt and another to hold the special bajo bolt into which the service bolt is installed, if you have a 4cyl then the service bolt is located on the fuel rail and for v6 its on the fuel filter. place a rag or something over the service bolt to catch any escaping fuel. while holding the banjo bolt, loosen slowly the service bolt and fuel will being to come out of the fitting. allow some time for the back pressure from the tank to be relieved completely, then you can complete the fuel filter removal. i hope this helps
