Thank you for your description. I also have a question. What does the seafoam do when you pour it in your gas tank? Once again thanks for your help.

Default After seafoam

I also heard that I must change the oil after the seafoam prosedure. Is that necessary, because if it is I will just wait till I have to change my oil and then I will do seafoam. Thanks again

It's supposed to help finish the clean up process. It will also help to clean the fuel system.

You should change the oil if you add the SeaFoam to your car’s Crankcase. I didn’t do that part since I’m not confident with the procedure and its consequences. This part is supposedly to clean the lubrication system of your car. But I prefer the flush engine done by Honda dealer.

Anyway, before the transmission was replaced the only other symptom I noticed was something like this: The car (Automatic Trans) sometimes, at least 1-3 times a week, and when I come to a sudden stop (like signal lights) the RPMS goes very slow like 250; then the car starts to rattle as if it is going to turn off. But when I pressed a little on the gas pedal everything goes back to normal (over 750rpm). The proble is that after trying out the new transmission this weekend the problem seams to persist. Does anyone know where to look for this problem?

For reference my car is:
Accord Coupe 2000 (4i)
Transmission: Auto
Mileage: 95K

hold up.....they swapped in a new tranny and still experiencing the problem?
So basically it probably wasnt even the tranny that was causing the problem.

Have you given your car a tuneup lately?

The Tranny was replaced due to another problem (Hard Shock when changing from D to R, and sometimes during automatic shifting). I was expecting the other problem to be also related to the Tranny, but I guess that one was related to the EGR. Since the SeaFoam procedure (Yesterday) I have not experienced the idle problem, will let you know if it happens again.

[QUOTE=e3NiNe]My transmission does this all the time. When I shift from D4 to reverse, I hold down my brakes until I know the car has shifted. If I let go too early, I feel that small jolt.

I always experience the same thing in my car but the other day i was force to do a radiator flush ( due to hose braking) and refill it until it was super clean.
anyway ever since the flush when i shift from park to reverse or any gear I no longer feel the small jolt u experience.

I have no clue what the tranny has to do with this but I can tell u when shifting from park to reverse it feels the same like if u were shifting d3 to d4 smooth almost zero shaking.

Well the shock when changing gears was a little strong. Felt like a hit to my bumper by another car but at very low speed. Anyway when Honda checked the Transmission they told me that it had a problem as reported by they scanner. They put on my service receipt “Trans Diagnostics confirmed an 54 WH93”. That's why they decided to replace it under the extended warranty since my car has 96k.
