Default Is my PS Headlight toast?

I have a 98 coupe and my DS headlight is new but the PS is the original. The PS light has dirt and dust actually inside of the headlight, very noticible in comparision to the DS. I know the chrome material is very delicate, is there safe way of cleaning the inside of a headlight?? If I have to take them out and bake them Id just rather buy new ones.

By the way, wtf is a TYC headlight?? I just came from having a car that had zero aftermarket headlight options, none. It was sad.

I'd remove your passenger side headlight and try some compressed air.

It's not hard to bake and remove the lens, but if you bake with the dirt on the chrome, you might make it even worse.

TYC is a brand that makes headlights. They're pretty poupular, but if you don't fit HID's in there, the light output is pretty dim.

HID's are definatly in the near future. Im looking for as close to OEM HID output, and most of all, cutoff as possible. I love the razor sharp cutoff line of OEM HID. I was seriously doubting the quality of the headlights I saw on eBay. I saw a guy on here doing OEM prjector retrofits. Where can I take a look at the TYC's?

try searching the forums for "projector headlights". It's been a while since the last TYC thread, but there have been quite a few in the past.

Done some looking. Are these going to be able to accommodate a HID bulb without modification? Should i go ahead and seal these when I buy them?

Eh I think TYCs look ghey on Accords, but a lot of people love em.

As for the headlight, the baking thing is too risky IMO...I used a heat gun to melt my silicone, much safer but a bit more time consuming. Just tear it apart and clean it out.

How delicate is the reflective material?? I was driving in a celica with projector lenses, but no HID. The cutoff was heavenly, if I can get maybe 75% of that out of the TYC's ill be satisfied.
