'96 Accord Brakes
I recently changed the master cylinder on my '96 Accord with ABS. The brakes work perfect now but the ABS light comes on and it never came on before I changed the master cylinder. Don't have any idea why it is on. Is there any way I can find out or any way I can get the light to go off? Any help would be appreciated.
If the light's on, then you have issues with it.
Assuming it was working before the MS replacement...
When you put on the new MS and bled it, did you remember to bleed the ABS unit as well and top its fluid off, etc.?
I have a '95 Accord whose ABS unit went out after about a year and a half of ownership (I bought the car new.). After the dealer quoted me around $1500 to fix it, I've been driving without ABS ever since...

Yes, I assume the ABS was working fine before I changed the master cylinder since the light was never on. And yes, I did bleed and top off the ABS before and after bleeding the rest of the system.

I made a massive thread with all the info you need, you can find the link to it through the FAQ.
