Weird prob w/ SRS, ABS Light, and other electrical
I've got a '99 Accord v6 4-dr and recently started getting this prob where my SRS light will turn on at certain speeds/rpms. This is usually around the 2.5k-3k rpm but will vary a bit. The ABS light will occasionally accompany the SRS light but it is inconsistent. Also, whenever the SRS lights up, my headlights and guage lights will brighten. My speakers (and sub) will totally lose all bass. wtf?
Checked all fuses and everything seemed kosher. Also unplugged my amp fuse to see if that was draining my electrical sys but the prob continued w/o it. Anyone know what the prob might be? I'm thinking it might something to do w/ the alternator but having a pretty low car repair IQ, a second opinion would be nice.
Thx.

when it happens again, get a digatal multimeter and test the battery terminal voltage. it should be nothing more that 14.4 volts and nothing less than ~12.5 volts.
Great. It makes sense though because over the past two months, both my headlights went out and both signals went out (but still blink). Even my odometer light went out! Changing these bulbs are getting to be a pain. Anyone have any DIY links for replacing an alternator?
