Those Type-R front lips on eBay for a 98-00 accord, would they fit onto an 02 sedan?

I know you could get the 98-00 WW type2 front lip on an 02 accord, they both look similiar but just want to hear feedback on any fitting issues or just plain out they wont fit?

 

The WW w-type front lip will fit on an 02, but there will be gaps in the lower grill area, because the grills on the 01-02 are longer than on 98-00. I posted just pics of how it looks...just yesterday in a different thread, you should be able to dig it up.

Not sure on the "type R" lips...I know they make then for the 01-02 coupes, but I can't remember about the sedans.

 

The ABS 'Type-R' lip and 'Mugen style' lip do not fit 02 without cutting and bondo. It's not a hard job, 1-2 hours max. Cut, bondo, sand-- done.

Any pics and/or DYIs (or links to one) on modifying an '98-'00 Accord 'front lip' to fit an '02 Accord coupe ?

I thought coupes from 98-02 have the same bumper?

 

same size, different designs.

the OEM lip from the 98 to 00 models will not fit an 01 or 02 without modifications.

 

Need a front lip for an '02 coupe - ABS or urthane - any suggestions as to where to buy at a 'reasonable' price ?

I actually used the Mugen lip, almost same as type-r, for my 02 accord about 2 yrs ago. It does not fit. I had to have one of my friends cut and extend it with metal sheets and smooth out/paint for it to fit correctly. So unless you're going to get some body work done, type-r wont work. Hope this helps, if u want, i can post pics of how it looked after the custom lip was put on. lates
