Thanks 98'

Zone Service manager, eh?

I assume first I should talk to the service manager at the dealer, and then ask him for the contact info for the Zone Service manager?

I would appreciate any input on how best to ask Honda to fix this. I love the car, aside from the tranny issues.

well that's pretty much it. If your local service manager can't do it or is unwilling, call Honda and tell them how loyal you are and how much you love your car and how disappointed you are bla bla bla and they'll cut you a deal.

I knew a guy who had a 99accord ex V6 with 90k. he took it to a dealer due to a tiny fluid leak. turned out an internal shaft seal was bad and the tech reported the shaft was loose. he was told the unit was not rebuildable and would have to be replaced with a new one. while climbing the honda chain of command he happened to run into a fellow retired career US Marine and got a brand new trans with install free. good luck I guess.
