Default Shift knob replacements ?

I was thinking of changing the shift knob on my 05 Accord to something from MOMO. Has anyone replaced theirs?

Default 7th Generation Gear Stick (Auto)

Hi,

I own 05 Accord Sedan. I would like to reply the auto transmission shifter (looks plain) with something that has leather base or something else that looks better then just plasticky shifter that comes with 05 Auto LX.

Where can I get this?

There are various tacky looking aftermarket shift knobs. You could always be the first to try to install a 03+ TL shift assembly.

Hi 98,

I am somewhat limited in my mechanical knowledge so the "TL" shifter will have to be tried by someone else.

What I was really wondering if there was some sort of shifter that looks like the ones in Mercedes cars (looks lile manual - small and round).

Your transmission assembly is a push button type and requires pressure acting on a spring to release the lever for shifting. MB and Acura shifters only require the brake (although some might require pushing down on the lever, but not my TL shifter). They have aftermarket ones but IMO none of them come close to fitting in with the interior scheme.

I have this installed. MOMO Automatic . Shifter lever cut about 2 inches shorted than stock. Pricey, but high quality and looks classy.

Vlad, (and 98 because I know you are an expert),

Will this shifter fit in 2005 Accord Sedan AUTOMATIC (US version)?
